SWaM certification is a certification for small, women-owned and minority-owned business may be given access to certain contracts. The purpose of the certification is to allow smaller firms to participate in larger contracts that they may not have been able to participate in otherwise. The State of Virginia offers many opportunities for SWaM business.
Are you a Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certified business or member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)? In many states the SWaM and NMSDC members can gain access to state and corporate contracts to supply goods and services, but need a technology partner to integration with the procurement system. In states such as Virgina many suppliers can use a Punchout Catalog to gain even greater visibility with state customers (eVA).
